I recently started shooting 50-yard benchrest 22LR matches. Using my Ruger American Compact in the Sporter class has been fun. But in the 10.5 LB class and the Unlimited class, I'm basically just shooting for practice. Anschutz seem to rule the roost.

I can't afford an Annie, but recently picked up an All-Weather target gray 77/22 in 22 LR. Accuracy has been pretty awesome with a couple different loads so far. Can't wait for the matches to resume next year.

I had one in 22 magnum when they first came out. Took a lot to get it to shoot good, but finally it did. I later sold it. My new one also shoots HVHP 22's in about 3/4" at 50 yards should I want to take it hunting.

I have a regular 77/22,, and I used to take it to a turkey shoot where they'd do a shoot with .22's. A NRA bullseye target. A top score,, 30 points, (3 shots, 10-ring.) I used to win with scores of 29 & 30 with mine. They are good shooters.
