I purchased a new 7.5" stainless .44 Redhawk back in the day and sold it a few years ago and I have missed it from time to time ever since.

The gun I purchased from the original owner locally Monday was made in 1989 according to the serial number and I swear it looks like it just rolled off the assembly line last week......no scratches on the grips or metal and it has just a very faint turn line.

I can't seem to figure out the forum picture posting but it is a model KRH-44R or #5003 just like this------> https://www.cabelas.com/shop/en/subdepartment-403-1108301194937-1

Ruger centerfire revolvers have been scarce here the past couple years with the exception being .22LR so I was happy to locate one......no more sellers remorse.

Well, I can't explain how to do it, but I'll stick that picture in here for you! 😆

I like that gun. I'm old school. I like revolvers. I like the wooden grips. I don't care for scopes on handguns. A scope has much more accuracy than you can ever get with a handheld gun. You need to brace your gun to get the benefits of a scope. A long gun can brace against your shoulder.

I have an '84 gun, same as yours, 7.5"bbl, stainless, no ring cuts for scope. My favorite 44mag of all time. I just bought a 2021 Anaconda 6"bbl, but the Redhawk is still my favorite. Only gun on par with it, is the older S&W 629/29 guns.

My first few Redhawks were .44 mag. Then,, a .357 moved in,,, followed by a .45 Colt,,, then another .357. But my desires to get a .41 for such a long time had not been satisfied until this past weekend. I scored a nice .41 mag to round out my calibers. Good handling & accurate DA revolvers.
