50th ANNV. 357 grip question.

Hi, Are the ruger factory wood grips more hand filling then the black plastic ones? thanks.

No they are not.
I just replaced the plastic grip on my 50th Anniversary 357 Mag with the factory rosewood grip and they feel about the same size. The smooth wood grip did feel 100% better than the original plastic grip.

If you want a fuller grip,, check out CLC grips or Pvt Schultz, (Plus there is another maker I can't remember right now that's a member here.)
Custom grips are the stuff to fit your hands & look good.

Do any of the custom makers make a grip that is the same size as the new Lipsey's? I really like the way it feels in the hand, but it would be much better looking with Holly or maple I think!

Forum member 41 Magnum makes both regular-sized grips for the 50th anniversary guns (I really need to memorize the grip frame name), as well as "extended" panels that are almost Bisley-esque:

The single actions that come with black plastic grips also have internal locks in em, :shock: so I've herd.

+1 for Carl Shultz grips. They are real nice on my Lipsey's .44 spl.
