5.5" Bisley Blackhawk 45

Help Support Ruger Forum:

Smart Franken gun makers would be wise to save the OEM parts, but alas many really can't afford to do that so they sell the parts to fund the "upgrades" then other tinkerers buy those parts to "upgrade" theirs, then the next... it's a vicious cycle.

Look at all of the peeps looking for boxes that don't even match their serial numbers :)

I think the gunsinternational gun and the gunbroker gun have different serial numbers. Also the cc patterns seem to be slightly different. Both guns show slight cylinder turn lines.

The one that I have looks mint, but has been fired. At least it has been fired by me. I have it in its original serialized box. This one means very little to me as I have a small collection of other 7.5" 44s that I do like better....but I may be thinning my herd to start getting a little variety in my collection. If there is any interest in it, I might be willing to sell it to someone who would appreciate it more than myself. As it stands right now, I have plans to use that frame on the 1979 4.5" unfired 45 I just picked up. I ordered a couple different sets of blanks from Chad at Chigs to make for it. I'm not opposed to selling it off and using that money for a RW frankenfab brass frame for it instead. I would almost be willing to sell it to a member on here before I do this if interested....but the problem is that I would then need to locate a Bisley, and hammer to go with the frame.....So I am open to suggestions.
I bought it off of Gunbroker on 7/28. Item #1057918890. Total cost $550.30 + $25 transfer fee.
I'm giving this info so if anyone is interested they can look at the gun, and make offers as they see fit.
I was able to get it cheap because the gunshop didn't know it was a Bisley..Well, the OWNER did. He sounded pissed at whichever employee did the posting. I don't mind sharing the find with someone who'd appreciate it. I just don't want to lose my shirt on the deal when I have to buy the other items to build what I want.
