We are planning a group buy for new HP capable molds from MiHec. Some of you may be familiar with him, some of you may not. His work is outstanding! These molds will be in brass and be fitted with Cramer pins for making HP bullet or solids. We are hoping for an extra set of pin that will make a slightly smaller HP also. Both molds are going to be two cavity. The last ones we had done in HP were about $110 shipped per mold so I imagine, these will be in that same ballpark. Just wanted to let you all know in case you wanted to get in on the order over at Cast Boolits.

The 475 LFN slug will be 410 grains as a solid and about 380 with the HP set up as we have it drawn at this time. A smaller pin would obviously bring the weight of the HP up just a bit. As we have it drawn at this time, it has two crimp grooves, one for the shorter cylinder in the FA and one for the slightly longer custom cylindered rugers.

The 500 LFN slug will be 440 grains as a solid and approximately 410-420 as a HP. We don't have the drawing completed on this one just yet. It will have a crimp to meplat distance of .400".

Here are some of the molds that we've received recently from MiHa. The four cavity version is a 270 SAA mold and the two cavity is a clone of the H&G503 Keith bullet with the Cramer HP pin set up. There is a group buy also of this Keith bullet going on now that will be solid only with no HP pins just like the 270 SAA mold pictured. We liked the 270 45 mold so much that we started a group buy on the Keith :)

Here is a pic of the one that I got from MiHa a couple weeks ago. His work is nothing short of amazing! This one is a clone of the RCBS 270 SAA

They HP versions are made with the Cramer pin system like the one in this picture. The 475 and 500 versions will not have this many different HP pins though.

These are some of the best molds I have ever seen. Ive started to buy them 2 at a time. They just drop beautiful bullets.

Definatly worth owning a few, and the 'Cramer style' HP mould makes both hp's or solids, kind of a 'two fer'.
