.45 to .22 cowboy conversion inserts

Ordered 6 of these today so that my son and I can practice together
with cheaper ammo.
Me and my Blackhawk and him with his .22 revolver
Will let you know how it goes.

Methinks they are "inserts" that have eccentric chambers that permit one to use .22 rimfire ammo in a centerfire......

Now, I dunno about any sort of rifling that engages the projectile........

The ones I've seen advertised do indeed have the chambers drilled offset from the center of the insert:
