A 5-1/2" Super Blackhawk would be chambered in .44 Magnum. It would have a Super hammer, fluted cylinder and a steel XR3-RED sized grip frame.

Yup, then my conclusion is that it ain't a Factory job........

Ruger never made a Super Blackhawk in .45 Colt. There are some 7-1/2" barreled Hunter models in .45 Colt that are rollmarked Super Blackhawk.

Nobody said Ruger's nomenclature makes any sense... :D

Prob'ly just a reg'lar ol' Blackhawk .45 Colt. I see .357 Blackhawks referred to as "Super Blackhawks" all the time. Meb'be some folks just think their gun is really Super! Well, Rugers ARE Super guns and it is a Blackhawk so it must be a Super Blackhawk!!!

I won't swear to it but thought I recently saw a Bisley 7 1/2" (not a hunter model) in 45 Colt that I thought was marked Super Blackhawk. Now I may be mistaken on the roll marking because I know they made this model also in a .44 Super.

Of course, we "shooters" like to modify our .45 Colt Blackhawks so they look kinda like a Super....

Whadda ya mean, "kinda"??? This one's even got the non-fruited cylinder:

I still plan to take the roll mark off there. And then there's another problem... Better go to the Smithing Section for more on this one.
