Underdawg al> There is a 4 5/8 44 spl in Poplar Bluff ,Missouri as of yesterday afternoon. If I don't decide to go get it! Shucks I already have the 5 1/2 inch. I guess one more won't hurt?? Seriously there is one in a gun shop there. It was a little pricey I thought at $579 If my memory is correct. I only gave $449 for my 5 1/2 incher. Rocky Top Gun Shop

That price is too high.

I'll say so!! I posted about one in MN at a gun store (In the Auctin watch or whatever its called section here) for $439 I believe!? And, the dealer told me when he ships he only charges real postage charge, not jacked up crazy fee's.

Not sure if its still there, but give them a call!

Here is the link: http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB/viewtop ... highlight=

This is for a 5.5"! Good price I'd say!

I got one yesterday at the local gunshop here in IN.
The tag said either $429 or $439. I don't remember because I traded a gun so "sticker" didn't mean all that much.

I found it interesting that it was less than the other new Blackhawks in the case by around $20. I would have expected it to be a little more if anything.
But he prices things according to what they cost him, so I guess he paid less for it.

FWIW, he got two FT .44 Spls in. Both 5.5" guns. One was ordered for someone, plus he got a "spare" (mine).

Our local shop had one last week for $419, a 4-5/8" 44 Spl FT blued. It became a gift for our Pastor's 15th anniversary. This week they have 44 Spl Bisleys, both lengths, for $479. Nice looking guns. Wish they'd get in a stainless version of the 44 FT.

Thanks, guys, for all the leads. Y'all are a good bunch of folks. Looks like my planned purchase will be put on hold for awhile. I came across a Ruger Single-Six in 32 magnum at Bud's Gun Shop. The gun was in great shape, and it was on my short list. I bought it! Will be doing some handloads tomorrow.
