I just finished this .416 Taylor and thought I'd post a photo or two:

The action is a 98 Mauser (VZ 24) and the barrel is stainless Shilen. Didn't Ruger build a couple of experimental 416 Taylors on 77's back in the 1970's? Anyone know what became of the guns?

I remember reading Ross Seyfried liking this cartridge. Said it was the only use he had for the .458, being the parent cartridge.

John Wooters also loved this cartridge.

Reminds me of the other day I was in a gun shop and happenend to look at a box of 20 rounds of 416 Rigby at a cost of $239.95 a box....BTW nice rifle
