Not sure the "all center fires after 62 are same size" is true. The reason three screw 357s in both fiat top and protected ears version are used in so many custom conversions like 41 Special and 44 Special. The 357 guns only became the same sized frame as the other center fire models after the switch to the new model transfer bar style .
