I don't have a 41 mag, all the others are in my stash . Starting to want a 41 .
Plowboysghost! I get a kick out of him and enjoy his channel.
MANY years ago, my wife bought me a used Ruger OM 4 /58" Blackhawk .41Mag (#900). I sold it to a collector only because he wanted it so badly he kept offering me more and more money till I caved. I liked the caliber so much I broke my rule of not accumulating and now have two .41Mags. It's just a cool caliber IMO.

Then added a AccuSport.
A Harton Custom 41M/ 4Spl.
Currently working on a 41 special shorty flattop.
Recently stumbled into one of the new flattops, pictured with AccuSport for comparison.
Some weird NON- Ruger stuff…

My first Blackhawk back around 1985 was a 41 Mag in 5.5". I made the mistake of letting a local gunsmith cut it down to 4-5/8", and it never grouped very well again. Even having it recrowned by a more experienced smith, I still couldn't get it to shoot nearly as well as it did. It did however help make the 41 mag one of my all-time favorite cartridges, and although I don't have that Blackhawk anymore, my current favorite double-action revolver is my 4" S&W Model 57.

Came across PB a couple months ago and like his style
one of my favorite calibers, I just picked up my 4th .41magnum a Ruger Redhawk 7 1/2" from 1991 to go with my Ruger Blackhawk and 2 Smith and Wesson 57"s. Shot my first handgun whitetail buck with a .41 magnum. I enjoy hos youtube channel.

I guess I'm not positive about the barrel length, I was just a kid and it was 40 years ago. It might have been a 6-1/2" barrel. I believe I picked it up used from a gun show in North Carolina, but I'm not positive about that either. I may have picked it up at a gun shop in Jacksonville.
The .41 is one of my favorite revolver cartridges. It's still a big bore but with way less recoil than the .44 Magnum. I have yet to shoot any .41 Special cartridges out of my .41 Mag but I may get around to it this summer. Of course for those of you not familiar with the .41 Special it's strictly a handloaders creation, it's not a factory cartridge but certainly should be.
Of all the somewhat "off the wall" latest and greatest oddball revolver cartridges to be marketed in recent years with often mixed sales to say the least one wonders why the .41 special was never marketed in a revolver chambered for .41 special only or be made available for those 41 mag shooters that are older and want a lower recoiling cartridge without having to handload for it. Perhaps this concept is too far advanced for the marketing geniuses in the gun industry or maybe not odd enough to be classed as the latest and greatest.

Although there are not any firearms chambered for .41 Special, Reed's Ammo and Research does make rounds commercially now that Starline makes brass on a regular basis... They have several different bullets and velocity ranges available.
Lost River Ammo also has two 215 grain LSW loads that are 1200 and 900 fps from a 5" barrel. They are in Magnum cases but the 900 fps load is made for target work....
