One day i had the yearning for a 41 mag , I like stainless and the bisley grip frame and ran into this so i bought it . I never shot it as i found them to be desirable to collectors , Well I am not much of a collector but now have began to wonder what the value is in todays markt ? What about shot but well cared for ? Dont really need to sell but am thinking of shooting it.

quicksdraw, don't sell it, there's not much collector value, especially in a used but like new gun. If you shoot it with good cast slugs it will warm your heart & put a big smile on your face, everyone of them I"ve ever shot has performed great. Unless you really need the money you'll regret ever turning loose of it! Yes I kind of like them.

These have been selling for quite a bit of money on the auction sites even though there have been quite a few runs of them. NIB, this will sell for $600 fairly easily and up over $700 if you find someone with a craving to fix.

Used, the gun will still sell for $450 to $500 today (like in a couple hours likely)...

What you don't know is if more will be made and the prices could drop or Ruger may not make more and the price remains high. Seems to be the struggle with all Rugers as frankly I can not understand why another run of these were never made in 44 Mag?

The 45 Colt and 45 Colts are the most common, the 41s are the next most common followed by the 357s and the 44s are made of pure unobtanium. A NIB 44 Mag will sell for $700 on up on the gun auctions and there if the seller finds the criminaly wealthy, I have seen the 44 sell for close to $900

I acquired this one four years ago NIB for $435. :D It is about the most accurate of all of my sixguns and a joy to shoot. Of course I had to change it some with a Bowen rear and Clement front sight , Belt Mtn locking base pin and an action job. Wish the cylinder was fluted!

to ALL the comments above.

"Used, the gun will still sell for $450 to $500 today... "QB, Does the ... mean "Really Darn Fast!"

It's Stainless, Shoot it, they cleanup real nice and these are one of Ruger's best NM, IMO..... and will allways bring most if not all the $$.

Collectible, Yes they might be some day, But one has to part with it to recognize the gain, and that's no fun. :D

x1!

A .41 fan (or nut!) will pay at least $600 for an NIB one like yours.

I agree. No "collectible" anything is worth a dime unless you're willing to sell it. You can't pay bills or buy groceries with it unless you sell it.
Keep it and shoot the daylights out of it!

I totally DISAGREE with all of the above comments. I think you should sell it. I just happen to know someone who regrets selling the one he had (even though Contender preached tirelessly to never sell a Ruger EVER) and would love to have another.......

One thing I do find funny right now is that there are a LOT of 41 Super Blackhawk Hunters and 41 Super Blackhawk Bisley Hunters comming through the distributors and on the gun auctions. We can buy these for about $480 or so right now and you can bet that in a couple years guys will be paying a premium for them when Ruger is not shipping them. Of course, by then Ruger will be making more 5,5-inch 41 SS Bisleys too

Just an observation as really who knows what will be made or when but I am in shock at just how many 41 Hunters in both configurations are constantly showing up for sale the past couple months. Perhaps I have obsesive compulsive disorder however as I keep e-mailing all the sellers to verify they don't have the one I need to finish my collection (I need the 41 "Superless" Hunter)
