41 mag for Chet

My dealer just got a New Model Blackhawk in that is a S-416N with the serial number 87-80421 in 41 cal. and was wondering where it came from. I thought that only New Model Super Blackhawk 44's had the 87 pre-fix.

Keep in mind also that a 4-5/8" model will be coming soon as well :shock:

Do you have any idea how many nay be produced of each barrel length?

So far there are at least 300 in the 6-1/2"
Only one that I know if in 4-5/8" so far. Don't know when the distributor will get these though.

I thought I heard a rumor that Hank, Jr., had something to do with the first production run. The response from the shooting public has resulted in a greatly expanded production run....

I cannot back up this statement, though......

YUP! The initial run was low, thus the 85 +/- numbers. I know for a fact there's a bunch more though. The distributor had over 100 in stock just a few weeks ago from the 2nd/3rd batches.
Not a big deal to me (I bought one also). Can't honestly expect a model never to be done after a first run is made, even for special run models. Look at the 45 cal Stainless Bisleys for example.

Yes, 85 was the first run. And with us terrible collectors suddenly creating a demand, more are always surely to be made.
Don't let it worry you though. This model is still a pretty quiet thing, so I think the final total will still be pretty small.
