I ran across a four digit SBH in a LGS today. It's on consignment, asking $999. The finish is rough, maybe 75%. It has aftermarket stag grips, and the action is tight. Does anyone have an estimate as to what it's worth?

Not $999 unless those grips are worth $400 ……

To me, a 4 digit in rough shape has no premium. Now, if it was a 2 digit or LOW 3 digit …. Have to reconsider.

Those are some nice STAGS, but definitely would get your attention on full house 44 magnums.

The 4 digit is cool,,, I would buy it at $500 for the gun and value the Vintage Stags $300.

Cleaned up it would most likely make a real nice 44 Special Shooter. ~$800-850 ,,, I'm just not getting the $999.

FWIW: Ever since I aquired a 44M Hunter Bisley, it sees the MAGNUMS,,,
and the 10.5" Super is now a dedicated sweet 44 special gun.

Same thing w/ the OM Flattop, 44 Special most of the time. (well used 4 digit),,, while the NM Flattop sees the MAGNUMS.

Hittman- I'm not really interested in it- I have a Bisley SBH .44 that I bought new 30 years ago, and I'm a .45 Colt convert.
