Hey Coog I got one you missed.... I just won one on Auction Arms and you were right, a little over the $600.00 mark. Do you have a favorite load for hunting and maybe one for practice. Is it safe and or wise to shoot 38s/357 mags./ out of this revolver without hurting the cylinder or forcing cone. Any one else can add to it, any help is appreciated. Thanks :) :)

Congrats on your purchase. That seems to be the "going rate" for Maximums.

I have never fired .38 Specials or .357 magnums from my guns, but would think the only concern would be the crudding up of the cylinder chambers, similar to what happens when you fire .38's in a .357 gun. Also, accuracy might be indifferent.

I will, of course, defer to those with first-hand experience.
