357 Maxi and H4227

Can't find Small Rifle Primers but local shop has some Small Rifle Magnum Primers (CCI). Can I use those to load the 357 Maxi using H4227? I have load data but want to know if Magnum Primers are OK to use. Thanks in advance.

I would certainly stick to the Reloading Manuals' "recipe". I've only seen Small Rifle sized primers listed for the Maxi.

Perhaps a shooter with more experience will chime in.....

I shot a lot of Maxi loads years ago and was happy with Small Rifle primers and IMR-4227.
