Nope, not me. WW-296, first load is always one that puts the powder column just below the base of the seated bullet. Second load to try is one where the seated bullet "just barely touches" the powder column. Beyond that I ain't saying..... but some wonderful things have happened with my reloading..

PS 100 grain or heavier bullets. "hard cast/gas checked"

Nice revolvers and personal touches.

I've seen info at other places where some use about 7 gr over a 100 gr jacketed bullet to start.

Just wanted to pass it by some of you here as I trust the advice on this forum.

Thanks.

Speer 14 lists 6.3 - 6.9 grains AA#7 with their 100 grain jhp for 1094 fps (max load) from a 5.5" Ruger Single Six.

For me with an SP101 or a Single Six only, the max load is my starting load in 32 H&R, unless I'm looking for a light target load.

If you have a smaller S&W or a H&R revolver I would stick to the book data.

Penn 95g SWC (hard cast) with 10.3g of H-110 is my absolute favorite
load for the 32 mag and that runs 1120 fps out of my SSM-6 and about
1190 out of the SSM-9. The powder fills the case to the bottom of the
loaded bullet.

I have been doing a lot of testing with different powders and have come
to the conclusion that once I hit 1100 fps ..its about as good as it gets
with the 32 mag for accuracy.

I have some 32 H&R loaded with 6.7 gr of AA #7 with 115gr. hard cast bullet. I might get to try them out tomorrow in the new 8-shot Blackhawk.

I will give a range report on these and the new shooter (God willin' and the creek don't rise...)

Shot the 6.7 gr load today. Good accuracy at 25 yards offhand shooting ( 4-5"). Nice load. Shot good in SP101 also.

Makes me sad I don't have any #7 left. Plenty of Clays, Titegroup, RedDot and Universal to get me by.
