I have a remington model 14 in 30 remington. I have brass and primers and IMR 3031 and IMR 4895 and IMR 4350. I have no reloading data for this caliber. I was a rifle that my father owned in th eearly 1950's. I tracked it down and now own it. Found a picture of him with it after he died. He is there with a small Louisiana buck. The smile on his then young face makes me queezy every time I look at it. He looked for that rifle for years. It was sold years ago. I am 58 now and swore to daddy before he died in 2003 that I would find it and kill a deer with it. I found mounts and a 2.5 Leupold scope he had to mount on it. I would like to reload for tit but never shot it yet. I know you can use 30-30 win. data but He wanted to try 130 and 125 gr. bullets. He had all the equipnent and powder and bullets and powder etc. But never found the gun. I found it and traded a brand new in the box Glock model 19 for it. Anyone have some info on it and ever shot with 125 or 130 gr. bullets.

I have a Speer Manual #8 that has data for the .30 Remington. As you said, it's the same load data as for the .30/30 Winchester. The problem with the .30 Remington data in my old Speer Manual is that it's only for Speer's 100 Gr. "plinker" bullet, and from there it jumps to their 150 and 170 Gr. flat nosed bullets. They don't list any 125 to 130 Gr. bullets for the .30 Remington or .30/30 Winchester.
Anyway, if you're interested shoot me a PM and I'll send you what I have on the .30 Remington using 3031 or 4895 powder. :)

Found an old "Ideal" loading book. can't tell you the date or #, cover is gone as well as a few of the 1st pages. Bullet #308241, trim off the last lube groove to get a 125 gr. bullet, leave it on it's 154gr. 16.0 grs of 2400 gets you 1765 fps, muzzle. 13.0 grs of Unique gets you 1300 fps, muzzle. It also states that "New Loverin bullet # 311465 can be used" Hope this helps, Coogs.

The Hodgdon 25th edition manual has 125 gr-130gr data for a 30-30. I also have some 125 gr hollow points from sierra suitable for 30-30 you might contact them for some data.
