anyone got any ideas how many 3 screw Ruger single actions were built from the first to the last one made before the nm came out????? That is in all calibers.

If you don't own any of these books you ARE MISSING a lot of information.

THAT will take some time to figure out :) for me :lol: anyway--- even with ALL the books :wink: I'm sure some forum members have a good idea :p but I've never thought about it--my idea is----- enought to make RUGER SA's very interesting & of HIGH QUALITY an getting hard to find--- for most part A lot of the finest guns are in collections as of 2010 :)

This is the closest I've been able to come...1,537,631.
This total number though will probably never be correct. There are untold numbers of "D" guns out there that we don't know of yet as well as "duplicate" guns that never got a "D" stamp (you're right....how would one know they are a duplicate!).
Then there are all the guns that were scrapped, or even skipped serial number sequences, small and large that had no guns made at all.
