Single-Sixer
Just bought a .30 Carbine 3 Screw unfired in the box buddy found in a gun store so I bought sight unseen. Post pictures when I pick up next weekend.

Those are neat guns, I have thought about buying one from time to time, maybe use it as a varmint gun.

Just ONE small word of caution, well two actually!
EAR PROTECTION!!!!!!!!!!! Never touch off one of those puppies
without adequate protection, trust me, I did it once under a metal
overhanging roof at our club range thinking I'd use up the last of
a box of shells and my ears rang for days. The fireball in the late
afternoon winter day looked like it was as large as a watermelon.
Gun was great to shoot WHEN I had my muffs on though, deadly
accurate with almost no perceptible recoil. Good find at NIB too.

According to the owner he said it was a 1968 or 69 so sounds like one of the early ones. Has the owners manual and one other card in the box. Can't wait.

I put a MR3-DB on my first one from Oregon.... The second was a first year production from Idaho... More stuff from my forum buddies...
Yep. There were some 9000+ non-prefix guns made in 1968. After that they were all 50-prefix guns up thru 1973 when the New Models came out and they went to the 51-prefix.

Finally got it. Turned out to be a pre - serial number. Unfired and box is marked to match serial number. I'm pretty stoked.
Yessir, you done BETTER than 'good' that is a fine package........we had a first year production .30 carbine BH this past weekend, but it never got home.................
