This new 45 bullet 285 grain has now been around for a while.Has anyone done some load testing besides Pearse?? I see a load of 16 grains of 2400 giving 987 fps or 11 grains of 3N37 giving 1020 fps Anyone finding out what the pressure is ??

Can't say about the 3N37, never used it myself. The 16 grs of 2400 would be "moderate" pressure wise I think, I've used 20 grs behind a 250, and some use a little more! JMO though. Why not start out with 300 gr data?.... Dennis (We are talking BH right?)

Get Dave Scovill'S book on loading the Colt SAA series of pistols in all calibers. He designed that bullet.

I have this book and it is a wealth of info .But, he says that he used no pressure testing equipment some of those loads are way too high for the Colts he loads.IMHO

I wonder if anyone has run this info through Quick loads software?
