I saw a video with Jason showing all the new #1's for this year. The audio was horrible. Anyone have a list and update of what's coming out?

Here's a link to the video. I want to know what that 2nd short number 1 is in the rack behind Jason!

I bet it's one of the current 20" barreled models in 44, 475, or 460

I also liked that 77 African in 6.5x55. I got one of the ones in 275 Rigby they did last year. Beautiful Rifle.

A #1 without sights? I've got to wonder about that?

The 30-30 in stainless looks off to me. - I sure did like the blue ones though.

"ol Jeff exudes all sorts of charisma . . . Gives the impression he has somewhere a lot more interesting to be.

And there really is no excuse for the sound quality (he forgot he had/needed a microphone!?)

Remember the 1B, the "standard rifle"?

IMO, the closest Old Bill got to ever getting it right.

I don't know much about #1's as I have only been looking at them for a few years now. Beautiful rifles but to me a classic design like a #1 should have sights on the barrel. Heck I think bolt guns should have sights on them. :D

The regular factory issue irons are about as cheap and graceless as they can get anyway. Useless in dim iight too.

I prefer models with sights on heavy barrels, like the tropicals and some of The low production .45-70s and such. I just need a way to install a tang sight without permanent alteration to the tang or removal of the safety. I may have to settle for a peep mounted to the rear scope mount.

The comb on a #1 is aligned for shooting with a scope. When shooting with the iron sights it smacks my cheek bone. I sight the irons in so they are there for back up.

But the scope has never failed. I've considered cutting off the front post and removing the rear sight.

Who is Jason?

Product development manager at Lipseys. Don't know if that's his actual title, but he has big say on direction that their distributor exclusives take. He is on this forum.

Yes he is on this forum, and he listens to his potential custoners.

For EACH of the past few years we hear that Ruger is done with the Number 1 and it is stated that this is from the top. It is always good to see what happens after SHOT.

You guys know that while Ruger may discontinue cataloged #1s, they are still open to exclusive runs if you can come up the $, guranteed $ for x number of guns like Lipseys is offering in the K1A 3030 and the K1RSI 257 Bob.
