1B 22 HCR

I was out lookuing at a few Rugers in a display case today. No one around to answer any questions. I saw a factory Ruger box with the SN 132-91XXX , 1B, and the cal. was stamped ".22 HCR ". Is this the Hornet?

I'd bet the stamping was off a little and it didn't completely stamp the O.

I don't have one myself but I'd think it should have read "22 HOR" .

So how much was it and did you buy it?

If its in .22 hornet, the barrel should read ".22 HORNET". I've never seen Ruger abbreviate that caliber before.

gewehrfreund, the gun wasn't for sale, just on display, in a glass case.

Chad, the stamp was on the box, I couldn't see the roll mark on the barrel.
