There is a nice looking 110 prefix (1984) deluxe sporter 10-22 sitting on my dealers shelf. Honestly it doesn't look like it has been fired, Probably was though but not even any powder residue in the magazine. The only down side is that the prior owner had a nice redish brown Paychmayer recoil pad with black spacer installed. Nicely done, I didn't even notice that it wasn't factory the first time I looked at it. Asking price $280. I would feel better at $250 but I will be discussing that with the owner tomorrow. Should this gun have a recoil pad black/red or a butt plate? What are your thoughts on the price? Thanks

The ruger website indicates a 10/22 with a 110 prefix was made in 1970 or 71.
I have a deluxe sporter made in 79 that has the plastic butt plate.

I have worked on one Deluxe Sporter that had an OEM butt pad about 5/8" thick. At the stock the joint was flat and any curve at the shoulder was curved in the pad itself. May not be added.

Worth $275-280....$250 would be a deal for one in top condition as you describe. Just check what a good, walnut aftermarket stock would cost. You'll see the value.
