Not gonna lie. Darned proud right this second. FINALLY put together the pistol I have been craving. Removed the dragoon frame off of one of my 44's, and put it on one of my 45's replacing the crappy aluminum one. Pretty self explanatory. But man what a great feeling!! I have a safe full of gorgeous revolvers, but zero wrenching experience on them. Give me an AR platform, or any of the weapons that I used in the military and I can work magic on them with my eyes closed. But these are a new animal to me. Just swapping frames was an undertaking because of 2 little springs that kicked my butt.
1. Don't remove the pin relieving tension from the hammer strut mainsping seat. Lot less fun.....
2. Trigger spring.....opposite of number one. DO relieve the tension....

Kudos on getting the grip frame swap done. I always tell folks,, "Make the gun fit YOUR hands!"

Swapping grip frames isn't too hard,, but like many things,, if you don't know how,, it can be a "challenge."

I know it sounds silly,, but if you have an owners manual,, I believe it has the info on disassembly and reassembly.

Looking good.
Next you will probably want to put on one of these yellow lookin things :)

I am absolutely getting one. Been trying to decide which one to get from Ronnie Wells for too many months now.
I have a MR-3DB brass frame that has NEVER been mated to a revolver yet. Beautiful and untapped. May list it for sale on here sometime soon. On the fence on turning her loose though.

I bought a short stainless grip frame from Ruger for a 32 Single Six and it came with the top two holes undrilled. I called and they said to send it back for a finished one. Which I did.
All of the Ruger brass frames I have delt with were factory drilled

Hmmmm......that is interesting! Honestly that is something I had not thought of. Sending it to them honestly hadn't crossed my mind
