I am looking at an early BH from 1964 with the dual caliber cylinder. Any idea how many of these dual calibers were made that year? Or Can you tell me where to look? It has some nice character!
6 1/2 inch-
.357/9mm
#580xx

Thank You

Probably find info here ….

Yes- I have seen a few discussions on RENE - i will have to check it out. I thought you needed to report buy/sell estimates for what you would or have paid of some sort.

As noted above,, Ruger didn't produce a 9mm/,357 convertible until 1967. The RENE is an invaluable tool,, and I used it to look up this info.
The first convertible serial number is;
103467.

I'd say someone added the 9mm cylinder if the gun was made in 1964.

A subscription to the RENE is CHEAP when compared to the wealth of info you get.

Good info above, and if you like it, you want it, then by all means go for it,, nothing wrong with a set up like that and over the years we have put many a 9mm cylinder with an OM 357....... ;) :rolleyes::cool:

and even better yet, as we liked them with NO sights, and Colt did not have any for me, we got one made up from Bobby Tyler some years back........
