Anyone out there own RSS #6095? I just found the box and manual, marked $63.56, for it in my stuff. Box is in very good condition.

Hey, WMG, is 5K a late shipped gun and that roundgate is "Factory"?

By the looks of that Mar. '57 manual I'd have to think so.....

Yessir, the #5000 shipped very late in 12/58 which is right before moving from the red barn to the Lacey Place facility. Supposedly, Ruger parted with a number of "cabinet" guns with round numbers right then instead of moving them.

That is the gun that to my mind was to have been the first Spanish engraved gun but it has a casting flaw in the frame on the left side - so I reckon they pushed the Spanish guns up to 5100 due to the flaw.
