There is a whole lot to do around there. My wife was asking me what I like about the trip.Well, I just want to wish you all a safe trip, to and from, and a good time on Saturday. I don't shoot a whole lot anymore, I would just like to meet some folks. We are trying to plan for next year. Wifey's back surgery being a major factor. It is so far that we would have to make it a vacation trip, and stay in the area for a while.
"foorball, baseball", whatzat? Some kind of new target game? There is a whole lot to do around there. My wife was asking me what I like about the trip.
Besides the people, getting to drive through The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is pretty spectacular. And Pigeon Forge and Seiverville (spelling) is nice as well.
And then it's just really scenic around Lake Lure NC. Contender could tell you more about that area.
In two years, when my daughter is a Junior in high school, she wants to come with me to see everything.
Plus it's a big cultural difference from Dallas. I remember the first time I went, everyone was eating and then started talking about NASCAR. In Dallas, it would have been football, or baseball.
Anyway, I'm leaving today, see ya'll in a few days.
I was thinking 6-7am to beat some of the traffic and get checked in and be able to relax but nothing carved in stone. I'm 10 minutes off 301 about 15 minutes from the bridge. What time are you leaving? I travel down 301 through AP Hill then 207 to I-95. Pit stop and coffee at the truck stop at 207/95. Probably through Waldorf around 08:00
I got a muley. That's the only tag I was drawn for. Paul lives in Texas and his health is so bad that he is mostly unable to leave his house. Tim lives here in Kentucky close to me. He has a joint condition that is making his life hard. Jeff is an instructor at the Air Force Academy. He is retiring at the end of next year and he and his wife plan to buy a motor home and travel the country. So we two may do a farewell meet in the mountains next year for a few days. We all went to school together here and are the same age 62. Lifelong friends that loved to hunt and loved the mountains. But the end is near for that. How was the hunt? Glad you were able to keep that tradition going. We'll hope to see you next year,, if possible.
