Not sure why nobody has thought of this before, but it appears that it is possible to have matching serial numbers in 10" .357 and 10" .44 flattops.
These would occur in the 22560 to 22801 sn range and 23218 to 23342 sn range.
Let the race to the first matched pair begin!!

Here's one match....#23267
The .357 was reported by twriggen here on RF
and the .44 I found in an old 1976 gun list advertised by an old time collector Ed Sowerwein...but don't know where the gun is today.

Here's an interesting pair...#23287 10" .357 reported by ruger3screw
and #23288 10" .44 reported by street

Another pair....23317, both reported but don't know where they're at today.

Anyone out there have numbers that are close?
Charlie

Looked at my notes and the closest I could get was 9 away from your 10" .44.
Your numbers now bring my list to 180 10" .44's noted and 121 10" 6-groove noted (as compared to 73 10" 8-groove .357...roughly 2 8-groove for every three 6-groove reported).
