I have an old tapered barrel 10/22 that I want to start playing with.
My question is this: Will a Hogue Rubber OverMolded Tactical Thumbhole
Stock Ruger 10/22 .920" Barrel stock fit my tapered barrel? I've searched
the Hogue site and didn't find any info that says yes or no.
Appreciate the help,
Dano

It will fit, but there will be a gap all around the Ruger factory tapered barrel (leaving it completely free floated) since the barrel channel in that stock is cut for a .920" diameter (target) barrel.

Appreciate the reply. That's what I figured but I wanted to check. Magpul makes one
similar but has a reversible barrel tray to fit the .920 or standard tapered barrel. I
may go that route. Still exploring whether to scope it or red dot. I have one with a
scope and one I can red dot with a TRS-25. Decisions, decisions.
Thanks again,

TRS-25 is an "entry level" red dot but it's still pretty good. I have a couple- one on a 22/45 and one on a 22lr AR type pistol.
The dot gets a little fuzzy and seems too bright for dim shooting conditions.

I've got 3 TRS-25's on other weapons and have found them to be reliable and
tough. I have one on a TC Contender pistol in .44 mag, a Marlin 336 30-30
and one on a S&W M&P 1522. Never had a problem with them. Agreed they are
entry level but that's entry level if you're interested in quality. You can do a lot
worse for more money than the TRS-25.
I decided to go with a Hogue Overmold for Standard barrel in Olive Drab, the TRS-25
and a BX Trigger group. Should be here tomorrow.
Appreciate the input.
