My local store has reopened and having a sale, I may get a new 10-22 with synthetic stock. I have never owned one and wondered what parts I might need in the future? I can't find anything on a buffer, I have replaced a Marlin 60 buffer several times but can't find a Ruger 10-22 buffer. How long do they last and where could I find them? thanks for any help.

Lots of comments about the 10/22 buffer lasting forever. The advantage is it quiets down the "clack" of the bolt hitting

Pretty good price, IMHO. Retail around here would be maybe $50 higher.

Some that sold on Gunbroker recently (add shipping/FFL costs!):

Offerings from Bud's (FFL fees only/free shipping):

My sentiments exactly. Mine cost exactly the 169 plus 50. A very good deal you have found.

I have used the aftermarket buffers for years. No problems. Replaced extractors with the KIDD extractors. Seem to work better. I have replaced a buffer on my 10/22 22 mag build. this while I was tuning the action . This is the parts etc, for the 22 magnum build.
