I can't see my pic from work so I was posting "blind". But yeah, I think I remember there being some fisheye effect on that one. I have learned to back off and use a little zoom to correct that. Corrects the "bent barrel" effect too.
Let's see, I think the story on these S410N IHMSA 500 guns is that they are consecutively serial numbered from 83-80001 through 83-80500 and the number stamped in the butt corresponds to the last 3 digits of the SN. Guns 401-500 were reserved for the RCA. Of the 500 guns, 100 were paired up to make 50 pairs, including 20 guns (10 pairs) in the RCA series. Mine are RCA guns #1 and #2, IHMSA #401 and #402. They have cardboard boxes and shippers as well, and the wood case has a cardboard shipper.
I had a single but sold it when I was chasing some other prize and needed funds. As I recall, that single gun was a Ruger employee's gun and had all the address labels going out & back.
EDIT: After posting, I see that the above document states the serial number range. Interesting that it says the wood case was made to duplicate the original "flattop" case! Oh well.
EDIT 2: Wow, if I keep reading, it also defines the RCA range 401-500. I guess I was a little quick on the draw to post all that stuff
