I finally finished my 1.40" 41 Magnum project (formed from cut-down 414 SuperMag):

Some details include:

- Stainless Bisley with a 6" Pac Nor barrel.
- 5-shot cylinder
- Bowen Target rear with a home-made aluminum front post.
- #5 basepin
- For contrast I used a blued Bisley hammer and trigger combo
- Action tuned to 2.5 lbs
- Laminate Hunter grips; though I'll probably have Cary Chapman do a set of Claro Walnut in time

Here's what the 5-shot cylinder looks like:

Once the snow melts, I'll put it over the chrono (we got 18" over the weekend). I'll also publish load data since I know a few others will be working with the round.

Finally a .41 Magnum on a Blackhawk frame with a cylinder that looks long enough!

Well done on yet another great LM .41 creation!

What do you anticipate in the way of ballistics? Is the idea to drive a long heavy bullet faster than a standard .41? If so, it should be a penetrator supreme! Great looking sixgun!

Haven't chrono'd it yet, but at 41 Mag pressure, the longer case should give another 100 fps over standard velocities. At 5-shot levels (ie, 50 - 60K PSI), I hoping to get 200 - 300 fps more. We'll see what the screens return.....I'll be testing loads this weekend.
