When I saw the new Samson B-Team 10/22 Stock, I wanted one. This build was fun but did get a little over the top.
16.1" Barrel
Went with the Nodak Spud Sights
Custom turned downed early AR-15- 3 finger muzzle protection.
Franklin Armory Binary Selectable Trigger.
Oversized Charging Handle.
Magpul Multipoint Sling & Attachment points/ Samson Barrel Band Socket & QD Rear.
25 round BX Mags.
Bushnell Co-Whitness Red Dot, kids like this, I'm more old school. (not pictured)

Does look cool and its YOURS and that all that it matters to what YOU want...my friend Fred P., "passed on" Navy Seabee, used to love building these 10/22's over the years, in about every shape or style one can even dream about, and ALWAYS was "cheap" shooting, and guess what, he always made money on them when he tired of the 'style'....go for it 8)

I like it.
I'd love to have one of the folding stocks. And really WANT one of the binary triggers.

How does that stock lock up ?
Is it good and solid when unfolded ?

It is an exact copy of the Ruger Folding Stock that was used back in the day. Lock-up is good and solid.
The quality is excellent, but it should be for ~$275.
Wood is very nice Walnut.
The only difference is the material used to make the handle, it is better & stronger.
It should be noted that the cheek-weld with the standard sights is just about impossible.
Samson now makes a similar sight as I used but I felt the Nodak Spud was superior, and there was an option to go directly to the barrel without the 10/22 front lug.

Hi,

The old saying has it that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." It's a timeless adage! Nevertheless, it's good to see some real wood on this type of a build.

I just bought the B-TM for one of my 10/22's. Shipped to me from Brownells for $278.19 (had $25 coupon). The quality is excellent but I have two issues. The grip is the same as the one on my Mini 14 folder. This causes the grip to not blend in like it does on the Mini 14 (See Pics). Also it has a length of pull of 12.5". Wayy to short for me. When I contacted Samson about this they kind of blew me off, Not Cool! They said they were not looking to make an exact replica of the Mini 14 stock. Yet the grip fits my Mini 14 perfectly. It seems to me they did not want to retool the grip mold to fit the 10/22. PROBABLY A BEAN COUNTER SAID IT WAS NOT COST EFFECTIVE AND NO ONE WOULD NOTICE! I Did! As far as the LOP, they said that they have had some people say at 12.5" was TOO LONG! I asked them to forward the info for those people so I could congratulate the on their 6th grade graduation!

I will probably return it. For a retail of $300 I should be a little more pleased than I am.

I carried a folding stock 10-22 on my ATV for several years simply because it fit inside the covered box on the rear rack. Nothing wrong with that. The rest is a personal choice I'd likely not make but it does look nice.

I purchased some black moldable plastic cards.
Tested combining the.material with deibulz ear plugs. They are made from same material . Just put them in boiling water and combine the material into one lump and form in the gap. Once it cools it hardens. If you dont like it just reheat and start over until you get it the way you want. Works great! Once the black cards come in i will be able to fill the gap. When it is prefect then i will super glue it in place.

I found that the btm-1 stock for the 1022 had some slop in at the hinge point when fully extended. It isnt much but when you shoulder the weapon and look through the red dot you can see how it would change your point of aim.

Two small strips of gorilla glue black tape applied to fill small gap corrected it. It now locks in place with no flex.

I agree ... the cost of this stock there shouldn't be such issues.

I also agree that if the grip was more vertical ( ar15 like) it would be more comfortable. The grip angle is not uncomfortable but the ar15 grip profile is preferable .

That fix may be down the road.

I wanted to send the stock back but the cool factor alone out weighed these minor issues for me. Plus using it as an extended barrel cheek pistol was a bonus.

I have been experimenting with cheek pistol concept. This stock works very well in this scenario when stock is folded. It adds to the versatility of uses and quick deployment of the gun. Then when time allows or need arises you can always deploy the stock to its full configuration for higher degree of accuracy.

I am willing to accept the added weight as the folding stock mechanism are very well built.

All in all a great little compact rifle.

Here is how i fixed the gap in grip and liitle slop in stock.

First pic is the placement of the two layers of gorilla black tape that fix stock slop.

Second pic is how i set up a form to fill the handgaurd gap.

Next pic how it once material was in place.

Last pic after some trimming.

Worked out great. It can be removed easily when you take action out of stock.
