Contacted Ruger and it sounds like this is normal. He said something about their being a gate their during the molding proses and it is ok put a drop of epoxy to fill the hole.

Wrong hole This is a obvious flow on the trigger guard itself.Almost looks like a couple of grans of sand got in the mold.

My concern is it might crack over time.

I did take a pic but I cant fined the wire to connect the camera to the computer. The hole is about the size of the ball on a bic pen both in depth and with.It is on the under side of the trigger guard just before it makes the curve up towards the slide.I think I didn't notice it when bought it...
