Info. please on a "new" MkI

Stop it! That's what I've been "discussing with myself" since I picked it up. To top it off, I was wrong on my last post... it averaged 1 1/4" at 25 with Mini-mags. What should I give the Chaplain... to ease my conscience... and to prevent lightning from striking me! ?

Info. please on a "new" MkI

Yep, think I'll peruse that Blue Book shortly, thanks! The shotgun is actually a "Springfield Arms" make, made by Savage I believe. Shot the MkI today (I h a d to!) Shot well - the best was with Mini Mags, averaged just a tad over 1.5", benched at 25.

Rarity of the 5 1/4" tapered bull bbl MKII?

If you look close in the area of the serial number and the right side of the muzzle you can see the "new" road rash... I'll have to get that fixed sometime soon.

Rarity of the 5 1/4" tapered bull bbl MKII?

Get outta town! Nope, I'm positive it's a 5.25" tapered bull, MKII as I stated. I've been in to firearms since I was a kid and am currently a firearms instructor at a 300 plus (person) police department. I'm instructing tomorrow (and the wife is alseep) so I hope to be able to post some...

Rarity of the 5 1/4" tapered bull bbl MKII?

I'll try....never done it before though. If anyone can give me a hint as to how to post photos I'll do it...most likely with my wife's help - I am the most computer illiterate person on the planet!

Is there any "prefered" load for the MkI - II - II

I know the guys on the S&W forum talk about the CCI Std. Vel. load as the standard for the M-41. (Most accurate, best functioning, least stress on the gun, etc.) I know...each gun functions best and is most accurate with different loads, but is there a "Go to" round out there that works best...

Rarity of the 5 1/4" tapered bull bbl MKII?

About 5-6 years ago I purchased a MKII with the 5 1/4" tappered bull barrel. Yep, not the 5.5" bull barrel. Ser. no. is 217-4461x. I got it because it just looked "right" and seemed to balance well between weight and barrel length. Of all the times I've been on various gun sites I've never...

Info. please on a "new" MkI

Here's the deal: The chaplain at my P.D. had three guns that belonged to his recently deceased father, one of which is a MkI. Here are the details - 6 7/8" barrel, serial number 32510x, with the factory wood stocks, Ruger blk backround medalion. It's in very nice shape...I'd guess 95% or so -...
