In my youth (a very long time ago), two 22 revolvers stand out---my friend's Colt Officers Model Match (a very well-worn gun with lots of rounds downrange and also used on their dairy farm) and another friend's H&R 999 top-break---9 rounds on board---trigger not so great... These were the guns I grew-up shooting... By the time I could legally purchase handguns---my first choice was a Ruger standard semi-auto with a six inch barrel---shot LOTS of bricks of Remington 22 "Golden" bullets ($5 a brick of 500)...
As for buying a Ruger made top-break, probably not---not because it wouldn't be a good gun, but because I'm not buying anymore guns at my age...

I have an H&R 926 that looks just like the one at #2 post. Got it for a song back in 2019 at a gun show for $300.

I'd think about it.
Since "top-break .22 revolver" covers a lot of ground, I'd want to see what they came up with first. But yes, I'd sure want to know what they had.

Well NAA makes the Ranger, I've got an old H&R 32 S&W break top. Seen better days and ammo is hard to get and expensive. Would I be interested in a new model offered by Ruger. I dunno? Would be interesting, seems a little bit of a niche item, would have to prove to be reliable. In .22lr there are so many options with NAA mini's, through single and double action, and semi auto. For a .22lr offering anything less than 8 rounds I would not be interested. Anything as big in size and weight to a GP 100 I would not be interested.
