I inherited an 1896 Winchester Model 92 in 38-40. I want a revolver that can shoot 38-40 but REALLY like the idea of being able to use 10mm at 1/4 the cost for ammo.
I have laid in a store of 38-40 and don't want to shoot it much, rather save it.

I am not a collector, although I now own 2 Rugers. A new Wrangler and a Mark II in 22lr

I am not looking for pristine or collectible quality, just one that shoots reliably and is in good working order. This isn't for competition.
I would settle for a Cimarron Bad Boy 38-40/10mm (the only other such convertible available) but I have been told the Ruger is superior in every way.

Thank You
