I received my Bearcat back from Andy Horvath after he installed S&W J frame rear sight and new front sight. He did great work turning the little Bearcat into the perfect single action kit gun. Now I'm looking for imitation ivory checkered grip panels and a holster. đź‘Ť

Looks handy! J frame, you say, huh?
You probably already know about them, but I really like Triple K holsters.
I order my oddball holsters from Craft Holsters online.

I've got a Bearcat with some of Sack Peterson's Elk Stag grips. They are just awesome on the Bearcat.

Much nicer than imitation plastic, unless that's what you are looking for.

I'm just trying to match it to my other Ruger blued single actions. It might not be possible but worth a try.

+1. He makes nice stag grips for sure, but I understand trying to match your other guns too

Nice mods on that Bearcat. I've been tempted to do the same things and convert to .22 Mag.

That S&W sight is more proportional to the small bearcat frame. Looks very nice!

To keep a non-modified look when I need to lower the Ruger front target sight I take some off the ramp as well to restore the factory shape. Then a few passes with a 40 lines per inch checkering file will restore the factory non-glare serrations all the way up to the tip of the front sight.
