Guys:
Need some help and/or advice on a 77RSM rifle in 375 H&H Mag that I own . Purchased several years ago for an Alaskan bear trip that never occurred. This rifle is brand new and never fired, would consider rifle to be 100 % unused. (in fact the scope has never been mounted on the rifle), SS metal, with a beautiful walnut stork with real cut checkering. Believe I still have the original cardboard case that that the rifle was shipped.. What I would like to know is what this rifle would be worth on today's market and would there be much interest in someone purchasing it. At my age, it's time to cull out the firearms I'll never use. Thanks for your comments, guys! BTW, where's the best site to sell it if I take pics I go ahead with a sale?

Hope Chet15 sees this if we're not gonna get to see a picture!

A SS RSM does not exist unless Bill made one, if he did it would be worth a pile of money, but I got to call BS without pictures!

Gentlemen: I must have had my head up my ''well known'' cavity when I wrote my original post. I rechecked my gun safe and this rifle has the original Ruger blued finish, and NOT SS as I had stated. Still unfired though. Any interest and I will gladly take pics and post them if some definite interest.

Hello Sir,

The Ruger RSM rifles are the pinnacle of American arms manufacturing from a major broadline firearms company and are in high demand among African Hunters.

I sold my Ruger.375 H&H for $1600 BEFORE the Commie Chinese Virus, made a few dollars on that. Today, they go for over $2000, and I've seen $2400 with nice wood.

The .375 H&H version is considered a bit heavy, compared to the .416 Rigby, and the .458 Lott (should have never sold that one!).

Good pictures are essential for getting top dollar. Today's cell phones take great pictures, just be aware of lighting, softer natural light, after dawn, or near dusk is great.
I like to put the rifle ( or gun) on a distinct background, like a red tablecloth, or a blue blanket.

Try the forum, "AfricaHunting.com". Some good folks there, some serious Safari hunters and currently some interest in these rifles.

CajunChef is correct, the RSM rifles were, in my opinion, the epitome of Ruger's Model 77…beautiful, very well built rifles in every way….you should have NO trouble selling that rifle on GB or the venue that CajunChef recommended to you!

For the collectors, having the original box and papers (the complete package) will add value to rifle if you decide to sell it.

Good luck…

Guys:
I'm considering offering my Ruger 77 RSM 375 H&H rifle for sale on this site if there is any serious interest. As stated before, it has never been fired or had a cartridge chambered in it, and is in almost factory new condition. This rifle will also have a scope and mounts included. Dies and new cases may also be included. If there is serious interest, I will post pictures and a fair asking price. I'm in the Valley forge area of Pa and a FTF sale may be possible.. What say guys?

Good Luck with the Sale.

Not in the market now, expect that members here on Rugerforum.com may be interested.

Ruger RSM .375 H&H Magnum is a desirable rifle, especially if not fired and with box and paperwork.
Pictures, pictures, and more pictures will help sell a firearm.
Generally, 8 pictures, 3 photos of the right side, 3 photos of the left side, and top and bottom shots are a good start.
You can't have too many pictures, as far as the website supports.

Serious buyers look at all details you can provide.

Show us some good pictures and I think
you will get some bites.

Seriously considering putting up my 77RSM 375 H&H for sale if any interest. I will include pictures and throw in a bonus at no extra charge. Brand new dies, unfired cases, and I believe a box/100 of 375 bullet heads. Number one rifle is 100 % unfired NIB and will include Ruger mounts and a new scope. Package purchased for an Alaskan hunt that didn't occur....had new knees instead. Once a price is worked out I'm also open for a FTF sale in Eastern Pa. So, if any serious interest here, otherwise I'll go straight to Gunbroker. Much prefer to deal with other Ruger people.

I sold a Ruger RSM 375 H&H w/ Leupold 1-4x variable with post reticle for $1950.00 a couple of years ago. Had around 200 rds through it. Looked like new. No box. I think your gun should bring from $2-2500., Maybe more if NIB.

I wouldn't take less than $2200, being NIB, and associated reloading gear.

These rifles are in demand .
Try posting to AH ( African Hunting dot com)
You will have some interest there.
BUT, you have to post your price, no exceptions. I have had good results selling rifles with a mid range price.

If you want to "see what you can get " go to Gun Broker dot com.
