I have one made in the early 90s if I remember correctly. I bought it new. I love it. I had a chance to buy a used one in 41 a little after that and didn't. I'm sure I didn't have the money for it. I still think about not buying it. The man that owned the gun shop would have let me "charge it". I bought several that way back in those days. I would give him whatever money I had and I would pay some each month until I got it paid for. He always let me have the gun up front. He was a good friend.

I had a 7.5" stainless RH I sold to my son and bought a 5.5" one to take to Alaska when I went fishing a couple years ago. Carried it backpacking and fishing for 26 days in Alaska.

Really wasn't too bad to carry once you got used to it. Carried it in a cheap nylon chest holster.

I'm planning to p/u an Alaskan 2.5 in .454 Casull in a few days and will be taking it to Alaska this summer for a planned week trip coming up.

Shot all four loads, six rounds each starting with to see where and how I grouped with the heavier ones yesterday, at 5 to 7 yards with the Redhawk, stayed within the vitals on the target.

6 rounds of 240-gr SWC
6 rounds of 270gr JSP
6 rounds of HSM 305gr Bear Load
6 rounds of Underwood 340gr +P+

WOW that one is manageable with my hands, and won't be a problem to shoot.
