I have several Rugers in this caliber but am having trouble locating a supply of ammunition. When I do find some there is only a couple of boxes and cost is horrendous - at least $1 per shot for American Eagle and up to $4 per shot for JHP.

Is there a reasonably priced source out there ?

The 'only' reasonable source I know .... is to reload for that cartridge. Same with .32 H&R Magnum -- which you can shoot in your .327 revolvers as well.

If you handload, and the 327 is a handloader's dream... I have some once fired Federal 327 brass that I'll part with very reasonably. I bought 4 boxes of the 100 gr American Eagle back when I bought my first Single Seven, but I've since stocked up on easily a lifetime supply of Starline 32 H&R/327 brass back before all things firearms related went south.

Thanks, may take you up on that. I have dies and some 32 cal jacketed bullets, just no cases. Usual suppliers are out. I'm not desperate yet, so if Starline are going to do a summer run I could always pick up a 500 pack then - assuming they don't change their plans.

During the crazy pandemic crap,, MANY, MANY calibers were put on the back burner in favor of the more popular & in demand calibers. Such as .9mm & .223.

Handloaders can survive,, but we too have to suffer the missing primers we need. They too have become very hard to find unless you are willing to pay 3-4 times what we paid just a few years ago.

Checked starlinebrass.com and no order/back order on .327 or H&R Magnum brass :( . Also appears to be some 'scam' sites out there so be careful on how you type starlinebrass.com.

I agree. Luckily some of us had stock piled a few to help get us through these tough years... Hopefully enough!

Feel your pain. I have a few .32 H&R Mags. I've been using .32 S&W longs whole scouring for reasonable price Magnum rounds. Was able to find a couple of sellers on Gunbroker.

Feel free to PM when you've reached 10 posts, I also dug out one full box of American Eagle 100 gr SP that I'll let go of for what I have in them ($32)...If you want to make the relatively short drive up I-69 to my area.

I've not found any cases today, but I did manage to find some Fed HS premium stuff for about 1-30 per round. I have SP101 in 327 and 357, so I suppose I could practice with 38 and save the 327 ammo that I have for carry. I really like the 327 performance - and the extra round. Should have my post count up by end of week.

Everything is much more expensive now. I looked at what I paid for my 32/327 dies a couple of years ago (around $55) and they are now $85, or over $100 in some places.

If you can find Fiocchi or other European-manufactured .32 S&W Long WADCUTTER ctgs., they can be fired in all the "magnumb .32s and are very accurate since they are intended for Olympic rapid fire centerfire pistol competition.

I've been told that the are loaded a little bit hotter than standard .32 Long ammo because they are intended to be used in and function 100% in European-brand autoloader target pistols that have blowback actions. I don't have a chrony, so can't prove they are hotter than regular US-loaded ctgs., but have found them very effective on small game at ironsight revolver ranges, including dumping a big upstate NYS coyote from my treestand, and stopping a dozen or so full-grown groundhogs from getting into their holes. And they are tough critters.

If you shoot a bunny or a grouse with them, you can "eat right up to the bullet hole" too. I use a 6 1/2" blue Single Six in .32 H&R and a 6" S&W 16-4 ditto. Factory sights.
