Post a WTB in classifieds on all the gun forums you belong to. I have seen bisley SS6 hammers show up, but rare. Also if you do eBay that could maybe a source, I have bought a few Ruger parts there. Ruger CS used to sell them, but that seems to have dried up the last few months.

Two questions? My Wrangler is the 2 tone silver and black. Has anyone bead blasted the alloy receiver to Cerakote a different color? How did it hold up, especially in the lettering area? And, has anyone confirmed that the Wrangler uses the same trigger as all other Ruger single actions like the Single Six?
Yeah, even though they are MIM pressed steel instead of cast steel. That's why they have the hollow areas.

Ruger has introduced Wrangler models with 6 1/2" & 7 1/2" barrels along with 'sheriff' models with 3 3/4" barrels without the birds head grip.

I like a longer barrel in a 22 revolver personally, YMMV.

Got a 7.5. I put some Ruger rosewood takeoff grips on it and painted the sights. Reddish -orange on front and blackened the rear. It shot to point of aim. I am happy with it.

I love mine. I installed some cheesy fake Ivory pmggrips I purchased of off eBay...Unlike others that I've tried, this brand actually fits the Wrangler grip frame properly AND feel great as well. I'll be getting the black 3.75" plowhandle version next.

Since this topic did swerve into some talk of barrel length, I have a question pertaining to that.
I am looking very hard to find a 38-40/10mm convertible revolver. My preference would be the Buckeye Special Ruger, the only other option is the Cimarron Bad Boy. Bad Boy is still in production, but Out of Stock nearly everywhere I look or it is the 10mm only version.
Supposedly it comes in 6" barrel length (octagonal) but I have never seen anything other than 8" advertised.

I may never find an affordable Buckeye Special, so if I did end up with the Cimarron convertible...how much money is it to shorten a barrel and are there pitfalls to doing so? I would think getting the front site perfect would be the main challenge, but being new to handguns I have no experience.
