About a year ago I returned a Super Blackhawk to Ruger for a rifling issue. It came back better than new. So when I decided to send my .357 Blackhawk back for repair I had high hopes. And again, Ruger exceeded my expectations.

My complaints were a canted front sight and a couple of burrs on the cylinder window against the recoil shield. I called Ruger and they issued a label. 2 weeks later I get a tracking notice. The Blackhawk arrived today with an explanation-
"straightened front sight. Polished and reblued. Safety check, range test and return".

Well, the front sight is now perfectly straight. The frame is nicely polished, burrs gone, and reblued. But…they also replaced the scratched grip frame, and from initial inspection it appears all the internal components have been replaced too. And, all new grip frame screws. Talk about above and beyond! Here's a couple of before pics, and one after.

I'm extremely pleased with Ruger customer service. Again.

Burrs on frame. Bottom looked similar.

And as I received it this afternoon. Beautiful! Thank you, Ruger!

Decades ago,, Bill Ruger discovered that the cost of a written warranty was expensive vs just offering good repair service when needed. That practice continues to this day.

I was offered a label on this issue. As soon as I mentioned "canted front sight" there were no more questions. On my prior return the Super had rifling button chatter. Initially they wanted me to pay for shipping. I asked if warranty wouldn't cover it. I had to send a picture of the issue, but within an hour they called back and approved shipping. Might be worth a try to ask-

I second the customer service. I recently bought an American 22 lr with a walnut stock and noticed the the stock was cracked in front of the magazine opening due to debris in the stock channel prior to installing the barreled action. I contacted Ruger and a new stock was sent out no charge.

That bluing looks great. Nice and glossy. Sent me a new magazine for my R/A 22 magnum for zip when I told them the last round was not feeding smoothly. Good service makes happy customers.
