My main carry these days is the Springfield Hellcat in 9mm. For a smaller framed gun it fits my hand nicely and hits what I'm aiming at. I really like the rear sight on it too. My pocket carry is still the S&W Bodyguard in 380.

As always, I reserve the right to switch these out at any time. Just because I want to. :)

I carry on a daily basis. The three pistols I carry most are a full size Colt 1911 in 45 ACP and either a full size CZ 75 or a CZ 75 Compact in 9mm Luger. If I want to go lighter I will carry a Makarov or a CZ-82 both in 9mm Makarov. The bigger pistols conceal quite well with the right holster.

Still not there yet but likely first carry might just be my Walther PPK.
Just 6+1 but decocker/safety are some of the reasons and I shoot it fairly well.

I have lighter, striker fired stuff, G3c one of them, not as easily concealed compared to a PPK. My milsurp habit has also made me more comfortable with PPK design too. Nightstand of course is different thing.
A classic. And by the way carrying a smaller caliber that you can shoot well is a heck of a lot better that a larger one you can't. Although I like larger calibers and shoot them well, I would never tell anyone they should carry them. It's a personal decision. Plus like I said, a classic. You will get plenty of style points. Adopt a Scotish accent and you'll get even more.

I've carried a S&W M&P 40 Compact for the past few years. I am finding myself more & more interested in the double stack micro 9's though. I like the idea of a small easily concealed pistol that I could easily carry AIWB. I do have a Kahr CM9 that would work for this but I want to find something that is easier to shoot well & I wouldn't mind more capacity than it has.

Back when I managed gun stores, I carried a Browning Hi Power 9mm (there weren't many choices back then) with a tiny, stainless Walther TPH 22 in the back pocket. These days, my home defense pistols and carry guns tend to be HKs and a couple of Kahr CW9s. Specially an HK P2000 9mm DA/SA, or my stainless USPc 9mm DA/SA. for the wife, either an HK P2000SK 9mm "Light LEM" or one of our two CW9s---DAO for her because she just can't understand the DA/SA system and in the middle of a "situation" is not the time for confusion---just point the gun and pull trigger if needed... The little TPH is still often stuck in a back pocket...

As of two weeks ago I began carrying a Ruger Security 380. I used to carry a Security 9 Compact, but arthritis finally forced the change. I load 15+1 and carry an extra 15. I carry all day including in my house or on my property. I am not about to need to run to get my gun if I have a SHTF experience. After retiring the gun is on my nightstand along with a flashlight. When out of the house I carry a 3 inch folder and my iPhone, which has a light, camera, compass, maps, etc. I travel light but ready to fight.

I just put a Glock Gen 3 19 slide on a Glock 26 Gen 4 frame and shot it today for the first time. Seems to work well. This gives me the sight radius and weight of the G19 with the 1" shorter G26 grip. 10+1 and a 15 round backup mag. Lone Wolf makes an inexpensive dust cover spacer. Glock responded in an email this was not compatible and not recommended. The hybrid Glock didn't seem to know this. I moved to Florida and developing a taste for Hawaiian shirts.

I have carried 45 autos since the late 60s. Until a year or so ago I carried my Wilson Combat. quit carrying it just because of the ridiculous value and if I had to shoot someone I'd never see it in my hands again. Lots of chances to get it scarfed up by unethical Leos or others(yes there are some ya know). Now days my full size is a RIA 1911 enhanced 45. Big ol heavy thing but it do shoot well. My warm weather piece is a Sig 365 12 shooter..Carry in my pocket most of the time. My wife carries a pocket 9mm all the time...but here on the ranch she carries a Ruger Blackhawk 45 Combo 4 5/8 inch gun. She used to carry the 45 in her pocketbook but with all the stuff in there(including the kitchen sink) it was just too heavy. She has a Blkhk 357/9 she has as a truck gun but it looks pretty rough after 30 years under the seats.

I comfortably carry only a CZ 75 Compact, 9MM DA/SA, with 15+1 onboard and another 15 round magazine. This pistol fits my hand perfectly with its hand-filling Coke-bottle shaped grip and the perfect trigger reach making it extremely accurate to shoot.

I am obviously in the large capacity carry camp, for good reason which is too lengthy to go into for this thread.
