Sometimes after the fact I wonder why I did that? My OCD will probably keep me from firing it. I like unique firearms. The fact that it's 47yrs old and has never been shot is what caught my attention. I'm on the fence as if I'm going to shoot it. I've owned it about a year or more now. 200th Year of American Liberty

The struggle is real! :ROFLMAO:

A few years ago I bought one of those that was MINT MINT MINT!
While debating about shooting it, one came up NIB.
So, you know what I did.
Technically NIB is not a duplicate in my collection since they have different serial numbers. I'm sticking with that as justification.

NICE!!!!!!!

I'd keep it unfired. "Liberty" guns only bring a premium when in that kind of condition.

I'd follow hittman's advice; Get a second one already used, and keep that one NIB. Best of both worlds!
I'll go along with the enablers, (y). Keep it N.I.B. and buy a SS 6" gun to shoot, it does not have to be a "Liberty" model, nor mint ;)
But more importantly it is your property, shoot it, keep it a safe queen, the choice is yours no one else's.

If you were losing sleep over this dilemma, may I suggest selling it to me for a fair price, since I already have that bbl length, that is already a shooter, and I can assure you it will stay virgin until I'm in the ground.
I'd say if it's virginity has been intact this long, keep it that way.
Especially a Liberty model.
