Well after much trail and error, I have some info to share. I picked up my Primal 46 suppressor 9 months after purchase. So off to the range. I was looking for a good load for the Hornady 410gr Sub-X. I could not find a whole lots data for this round. I found some info on the 458 SOCOM forum. I also continued my Hornady 300gr HP load development. I am trying to learn the nuances of this rifle. I started without the suppressor to ensure that the bullets were stable so not to risk a baffle strike. So far the 300gr HP have done well. I posted some results earlier in this thread. Here is some more info. Again use at your own risk.

I think that this is sufficiently fast enough with this powder. How fast can I expect to push this projectile? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I then moved on to subsonic load development. I looked at several powders. I was going to go with H110 but from what I learned Reloader 7 looks like it has promise. I started at 27.0gr. All the threads that I could access used AR type rifles. When I loaded 27gr I was getting 1450-1485 fps. Accuracy was very good but I was looking for subsonic velocities. I laddered my powder charge down over several days. This proved to be a bit of a costly affair. Finally I found some ray of light at 23.5gr.

So I have found that the bolt guns do not need an excess of powder that the gas guns need to cycle. At 23.5gr of Reloader 7 my rifle performed amazingly. Very quiet. The downside is that it is not as quiet as my suppressed .22 but, it is stupid quiet! I shot steel at 200 yards and the bullet hits with authority. This rifle has significantly more horsepower than my 300 Blackout or 308 suppressed. Of course shooting suppressed rounds in all noted rifles. So if y'all are planning to shoot some quiet chunks of lead, this is the way!

Im finishing mine now mine was a LH 6.5 Creedmore the only thing is you can not run AR15 mags unless you start out with the 450 ranch rifle.
The bolt is not cut nor is the action to accept ar15 mags on the Standard 243,260,6.5,708,308 rifles
Ah thanks! Will make sure to look for a 450 BM then.

I was thinking about trying those. Their website says you have to modify the mag to work with three lug bolts and I don't know what is involved with that.
I have MDT 3rd 300WSM/6.5PRC magazine working just get yourself a feed lip adjustment tool so you can bend the feed lips i have mine set at .488" in the rear and the front is .486" that is the distance between the feedlips most of the time you have to adjust these mags i will be test firing mine this week i will post the results.

Looks liks the magpul hunter stock with the Stanag magazine well is finally available. Seems an ideal solution for this build

@Pauerpilot I have my barrel in hand from X. Can I get in line to borrow the gauges? I believe (will have to confirm) I have an extra 1.25 crow foot that should fit X's barrel nut I can donate to travel with the gauges

Oh wow, that's nice. I'm curious to know if the barrel channel will fit a socom barrel & how far the forearm extends beyond the front of the receiver.

What is that barrel Contour? Never heard of a socom profile for a bolt action

@possum What length barrel did you end up going with? I know you said you were going to sbr yours.
I did 12 inch 1/14 twist but haven't been able to assemble yet. I'm waiting on receiver engraving currently, so I'll have pics in another few days.

I did the #17 Standard Palma profile. I can tell the barrel channel on my original stock will need some sanding.

If I had to guess, I'd say the minimum length that would still clear stock is between 11 & 11.5 (X doesn't do half inch increments)

The barrel I received looks great and I think this project is going to be a blast.

Is your plan to use the original stock with the ar magwell?

I am debating between that, the Magpul option, or going to an aics mag and going with the krg bravo.

I wonder what the minimum barrel length would be with the Magpul stock.

Yes, I'm going to use original stock & AR adapter

I do have an extra 1.25 crow foot I could donate to the collective, it needs just a couple passes with a file to fit on the barrel nut from X. I bought two identical ones and 1 fits while the other is ever so snug

BTW, do we know the torque spec for the barrel nut?

Buy the 450 Bushmaster and go with the AR15 Magazine setup much easier while i have the AICS feeding they are still not perfect but ill keep at it. Unless you will be using this with Lehigh 570gr Subs then you would need the AICS mags.
I just measured mine with the Magpul stock the shortest barrel would be 13"
