We have a number of lever action rifles here:

Marlin 39
Marlin 1895 in .45-70.
Marlin 1895 Guide Gun in .450 Marlin.
Henry in .357 Magnum.

There is a Savage M99 in .250-3000 that goes between my Brother and me whichever one maybe hunting deer at the time since we both love our Dad's old lever!
I really appreciate being able to clean my Marlins from the breech...

It has been said that collectors prefer Winchesters, but hunters use Marlins.
In this current lever action drought grab either (or a Henry) you can get your hands on.
Sort it out later when you have a choice.

I've been keeping an eye out for a Henry lever action in .327 to go with my Single-Seven as I've read they made them for a short while. I wouldn't mind one in .45LC either, to go with my Blackhawk and Vaqueros. I was looking at one in .45LC at a gun show in mid-December but ended up making a very good deal on a couple of Ruger double actions instead. That broke the bank on my "gun fund" for a couple months. Who knows, maybe by the time my fund is back up they'll be making the Marlins in something other than a stainless 45-70. I still have the old Winchester '94 in 30-30 that I took my first deer with sitting in the back of the safe. It's a pre-64 which makes it older than me!
They're proud of this Henry .327!
