I recently purchased a pair of checkered target grips. They were stated to be walnut and factory. They have the silver on black SR medallion on the right grip and "Made in Italy" faintly stamped on the inside. They arrived in a manilla envelope with, "NIP walnut panels for Mark II pistol" stamped on it. Just curious if these were factory or aftermarket. New to these so thanks for any info.

My guess is those were probably made by Sile in Italy for Ruger. I have some non target walnut grips made by Sile in Italy that were used by Ruger in the mid 1960's. Non target =no thumb rest. Mine only fit Ruger Standard and Mark 1 autos with the A54 grip frame.
