I lived with my grandmother until I was 12 or so. Hee Haw was a MUST for her ….. I was just kinda stuck with it. Stuck with Hee Haw and The Johnny Cash Show and the Porter Wagner Show with special guest Dolly Parton and of course Lawrence Welk.

You absolutely could not make Hee Haw today. I don't blame it in the current spate of political correctness. I blame it on a complete lack of a sense of humor on today's young.
I completely agree especially if you try to have a conversation with some of the younger generation. They're like in la la land. Must be the generational gap.

As a teenager I thought the show a bit corny but the ladies kept me watching anyway!
I do believe that is why I always enjoyed the show. We also love Jerry Clower here and those old recordings are hilarious especially if you have a bit of rural in you and can get it. I can imagine many younger and city folks not getting much of what Clower came out with.
